A top-down puzzle action shooter set in a dystopian laboratory.
Neil Artman is a military-trained, world-class scientist who has been framed for a disastrous experiment that began turning people into bloodthirsty monsters. In this dystopian world, it’s up to you to clear your name and put an end to the vilest of mutants.
I was the sole artist for the project.
I began by designing the main character and some of the enemies. Next, I created an art bible and visuals for our project presentation. After that, I started working on the player’s in-game model. All of the character’s actions were hand-animated using Photoshop and copied smart objects. I then created the enemies in the same way, along with the in-game tileset and UI graphics.
I really enjoyed creating a variety of decorative assets and placing them throughout the levels in Unity. I also had the opportunity to design and build one level myself. Additionally, I was responsible for decorating and fixing visual issues in several levels. One particularly problematic level was completely redesigned and rebuilt in collaboration with one of my teammates.
